Carpet Sales And Service In Pateley Bridge

Serving Domestic and Commercial Customers in Nidderdale, Harrogate, Ripon, Greenhow and Upper Wharfedale

Choosing the right carpet or flooring is a bespoke journey and we pride ourselves on putting in place the look and feel that’s right for you.

As a business that was passed from father to son and family, we understand that it’s rarely a one-off fitting – we support you through the lifecycle of the carpets which is why Clayton’s carpets customers come back to us time and again.

Four principles stand out and guide us when we fit a new carpet or area of flooring, ensuring that we deliver just what you need. Your perfect solution is as unique as you and your space.

Eco Credentials & Sustainability

We already recycle materials and packaging that product is delivered in. So far this is the best option. We encourage our suppliers to reduce wastage and packaging as much as possible so that a suitable solution for reducing plastic wrapping can be implemented. The challenge is to ensure that natural fibres in particular are not exposed to anything that you wouldn’t want in your home or workplace while new product is in transit.

Working With Nature
and Lighting

Light and Dark, North, South, East, West facing… we will help you to choose colours and tones to enhance your space. Even neutral tones take on a completely different look depending on the lighting, natural or enhanced. Call in to our shop to discover what the subtle choices in colour and texture can do for your room.

If you are working with existing furniture while incorporating new trends – we can advise on texture and colours – from traditional carpet or hard flooring to the jute, seagrass and bespoke edged floor coverings. We are proud stockists of the fantastic Crucial Trading and we can help you create a truly bespoke finish with a pop of colour or subtle stylish neutrals.

We will help you make the most of your rooms, be on trend without compromising on sustainability and longevity.

The 4 C’s In Carpeting

Client

Whether it’s your first home, upsizing...

Whether it’s your first home, upsizing, downsizing, kids, pets, heavy daily commercial use, occasional or mixed use we like to get to know how you want to use your space. What you like, and don’t like. Identifying what you want to achieve with your carpet or hard flooring brings the focus to specific brands and types of finish that will make the best of your space and budget.

Choice

No matter what your budget we believe in...

No matter what your budget we believe in providing you with a choice of colours and materials. We love to stock British and European brands. Not only do they provide terrific quality and durability, we also like to keep a check on our carbon footprint. The shorter the logistics chain the better. We will help you weigh up the pros and cons and with a keen eye for colour, you want to be sure you can look at true samples in the light, both day and night. Lighting makes such a difference, so let us help you choose the perfect colour and finish.

Composition

Trends are a big factor in carpet and flooring...

Trends are a big factor in carpet and flooring so we will help you stay on trend, while factoring in the ideal composition using products manufactured to a high standard by reputable British and European companies. Many British carpet manufacturers still source wool from within the UK and insist on this. Additional man-made fibres that are woven in for added durability and texture may be sourced from further afield, but you can be sure that UK made means that the factories are weaving the carpets right here in this country.

Care

We carry out the measuring and fittings...

We carry out the measuring and fittings ourselves. We work with trusted suppliers most of whom we’ve had on our books for over 15 years. Preparation is key, so we always advise you on things such as utilising existing underlay or when it’s wise to replace. Aftercare is key so when ‘Life’ happens you will have the specific care or ‘mop up’ guidelines from each carpet or flooring manufacturer.

What Happens Next?

Our shop in Pateley Bridge has a great selection of colours, textures and inspiration for flooring. You are free to browse and take your time perusing the options. When you have narrowed down your options we book you in for a measurement and quote. Depending on what you are ordering I can usually provide an estimated fitting date there and then. When the order is being dispatched I confirm a convenient fitting date with you.

If know what you want I can visit with a range of samples and measure up there and then. I look forward to helping you create the ideal look and feel in your home or workplace.

All the best,
Simon Clayton
